Get an EyeCream Girl!!! My search for a cheap and healthy eye cream

One time, I was staring at the mirror and pinching out some whiteheads on my nose when I noticed an ugly short line under my eye. It was so ugly, it made me panic! That afternoon, I told my friends about it and swear that I am going to buy an eye cream.

I had a good eye cream before from Mary Kay but I ran out of it and couldn't get one immediately. So for 2 years, I do not have something hydrating for my eyes. I am really bad when it comes to skin care.

So the hunt happened last Friday night. I went to Sephora in Ngee Ann City Mall and checked out different brands. I was so shocked to find out the prices of their eye creams, serums or gels. A guy who was working in Sephora came up to me and introduced me to Philosophy's Miracle Worker eye serum it was for 80 dollars! I bet the product really works and is super effective. I tried it on my hand and it smoothens my hand immediately. I loved the immediate effect! It has retinoid as well and the guy said it was the key ingredient for eye products. But the thing was, I am not ready to shed 80 dollars from my pocket. I set a budget and I was really in a hunt to find the cheapest eye cream.

So I went out of Sephora and down to B2 and found FANCL. The place was intimidating to me because it was all white and I thought prices will be more exaggerated than those in Sephora. But I still went in and immediately checked the products and their price.. DING, ding, ding, ding, ding!!! It was right on the bucket!

Then the nicest lady came up and asked me what I'm looking for. I told her I need an eye cream and then she let me try their FANCL RESTEYE GEL and the rest was history. I'd like to show you photos of my purchase while I tell you the story behind them.

In this paper bag lies the goodies.

For 30 SGD this is what I get!

This was my main purchase for 30 SGD.

So this is the product, their Resteye Gel. The box says that this item is a refreshing eye gel that targets and improves problems such as dark circles, puffiness, dryness and fine lines. It aids in improving blood circulation thus, reducing the appearance of unsightly dark circles and puffiness. It does not have that retinoid when I read the ingredients but this product is absolutely preservatives free. This product actually should be used for 60 days only. So that circle thing on the picture, must be stick to the product to remind me of the expiration.
I have been using it 4 times and the product was ok. My eyes were not irritated or whatsoever. I know that my eyes are having the hydration they need and I am happy about that. I will continue to use it and tell you more about its effect.

So I also took a screen shot of my skin condition. The lady from FANCL run a quick test under my eye and this is what my skin looks like in a bigger scale. The picture on top shows that my skin is really dry because of the lines. They are all one way when it should not be like that. The one below shows the discoloration. When I saw this, I was like, "Uggghh! Yuck!" But of course, I didn't voiced it out. But it really alarmed me. I do hope this product could help my skin.

So when I paid my purchased, I asked the lady if they have like mini packets of other products that I could try. (I'm really a sucker for freebies) Surprisingly, I got more than that. I got to be a member of FANCL and the lady gave me monthly treat and rebate! How cool was that and she gave me lots of products to try.

This is their Moisturizing Line which I am excited to try. I got the lotion, essence and emulsion. So after I clean my face I could use these three items in that order.

I got a notepad which is super cute and this FANCL Beauty Facial Treatment. I need to use this product in one sitting. I need to empty the bottle and massage the content on my face for 5 minutes and then rinse it. Looking forward to use it.

I was really beaming with smile when I got out of the store. I was so happy with my purchase and the nice lady even gave me the longest bow as I left their store. She is really super duper nice and accommodating. I am sad not to remember her name but she was really awesome.

So what's the big fuss over an eye cream? Personally, I think we really need to care for our face especially the eyes because our eyes show the life inside of us. Our eyes give away the condition of our lives and our age. Through our eyes people will see if we are happy or stressed out or dull.

That is why I encourage you guys to get an eye cream. It is never too early or too late to start using it. Care for your eyes and people will see what a beautiful life is.

PS: When buying beauty products, do not be shy to ask for some other products that you can try at home. You might found one that you will really like and will work for you.  :D Please do leave a comment or reactions below. Thanks for reading!
