What I meant was, I would like to share to you guys the steps on how I do my make up on a regular day. On how I turn...
Oh gosh! I can't believe I let you guys see me like this. Pardon the quality, I just took those photos and edited them on my iTouch. Gosh, I can't even choose which one looks nicer! Its too hard! Lol. But hey, they say if you want to be a good writer, write something you know. This is what I know. My very own make-up routine.
First, I start with a clean face. Every time I take a bath, I always wash my face with facial wash. Sometimes I use Papaya soap for my face. Trying to get that fairer face. :p
I like the feeling that my face is really clean. I don't like it when I take a bath and my face would still feel greasy. I'd hate that.
I used BB cream instead of foundation because as we all know BB stands for "blemish base" and I definitely have a face that has lots of blemishes. :(( But to be honest, I think this BB cream that I'm using actually helps my face to become clearer and it definitely makes my face looks healthier. I'm using Precious Mineral BB Cream Bright Fit by Etude House in case you're wondering. I'll be writing a separate blog for the products I am using including the mini beauty haul that happened to me recently. I'll be including pictures too. :)
Now, this is as much as I use everyday. I'm not sure if I am being stingy or I am scared to use a lot?? I really don't like it when my face looks so fair that I looked like a ghost. In the Philippines, if a lady's face looks like she had too much foundation on, people would really make fun of it, they would say, "Ate, foundation day nyo?" (Miss, is it your school's foundation day?) something like that. And that's awful!
So using my middle and ring fingers, I dabbed the cream on my face.
When I was a member of Mary Kay, my mentor told me the proper way of putting pressure on your face. Be it washing or putting on foundation. She said to only use middle and ring fingers because that's the right pressure. She say it's not as hard as our pointer that could cause wrinkles! Try it and see the difference.
In this case I use my fingers to apply my BB cream. Not that I don't have a foundation brush, it was just that it's an ordinary day I don't need so much cover on my face. Plus, my brushes were just washed. I don't like to use them yet. Not just yet. :p
So this is my face with BB cream on. As you can see, there's not much coverage. You can still see some blemishes on my forehead. But you can notice that from my eyebrow down to my chin, it looks clearer.
And personally, I like it this way. I mean if my day is just a regular day meaning I'm not going anywhere, it was late in the afternoon, no people to meet, I would wear this sheer look. I can even not wear make-up at all. I think, sometimes it can help that we do not use make-up on some days. Just to give our face a time to rest. :)
As I've mentioned, there was not so much things going on my day but I did try to do some wing-tip eyeline when I apply my eyeliner. Is that what they call it, wingtip? I still need some more practice on this though.
Then, I went ahead and do mascara and put on lip color. I am totally obsessed with my lipstick from Sephora. It's my very first pink lipstick! (Huh, first? What planet did you come from??) LOL
Now, look at my eyebrows!!! I know, I know, they are not shaped! Let me tell you that they are virgins! I mean they have not been all their lives but they really are. Shoot! What am I talking about??!!
What I meant was, I have not touched and I have not let anyone do my brows for mmm, 7-8 years??? The reason why is because I don't know how to maintain it. I am just scared to even think of the worst thing that could happen if I touch it. My biggest fear was to have bald eyebrows! But lately, I have been thinking of having them shaped.. I will definitely write something about it when that time comes.
Tada! Finish face make-up result with my permed hair down. I'll be writing a separate story for my permed hair which is also extremely black.. You gotta hear my story.. You'll have your eyes raised! :D
Now, you may have or may not noticed but this look actually was more tamed. I became so crazy applying mascara that I decided to removed some of it. I used q-tips and make remover to remove some mascara stains and I removed the wingtips as well.. I just couldn't handle such dramatic eye make-up.
So this is basically my regular day look. Simplemeherlene literally! :D
I really like simple looks like this or maybe I am still an amateur when it comes to beauty. But hey, I am just on my way on becoming a beauty guru.. There are still lots of make-up style to learn and many skin care to try and different hairstyles to do. I'll be sure to bring my A game next time but I hope you still appreciate what I have shared.
On my next blog, I'll be showing you the make-up products that I use on this blog. I hope you enjoy reading my blog and maybe somehow you can relate on how I make-up made up myself.
Please do comment on my make-up ways or perspective. You can also suggest on how I should do it perhaps. Till the next blog! Have an awesome day! :D
